Reduced phase space approach to the U(1)3 model for Euclidean quantum gravity

چکیده
If one replaces the constraints of Ashtekar-Barbero $SU(2)$ gauge theory formulation Euclidean gravity by their $U(1)^3$ version, arrives at a consistent model which captures significant structure its version. In particular, it displays non trivial realisation hypersurface deformation algebra makes an interesting testing ground for (Euclidean) quantum as has been emphasised in recent series papers due to Varadarajan et al. this paper we consider reduced phase space approach model. This is especially attractive because, after canonical transformation, are most {\it linear} momenta. suitable gauges, therefore possible find closed and explicit formula physical Hamiltonian depends only on observables. Not surprisingly, that generically neither polynomial nor spatially local. The corresponding quantisation can be confronted with constraint al gain further insights into algebra.

The talk is devoted to the “extended phase space” approach to Quantum Geometrodynamics. The premises that have led to the formulation of this approach are briefly reviewed, namely, non-trivial topology of the Universe which implies the absence of asymptotic states, in contrast to situations one usually deals in ordinary quantum field theory; parametrization noninvariance in the Wheeler – DeWitt...

Using the Ashtekar formulation, it is shown that the G N ewton → 0 limit of Euclidean or complexified general relativity is not a free field theory, but is a theory that describes a linearized self-dual connection propagating on an arbitrary anti-self-dual background. This theory is quantized in the loop representation and, as in the full theory, an infinite dimnensional space of exact solution...
متن کامل10 D Euclidean quantum gravity.
We investigate numerically 10-dimensional Euclidean quantum gravity in the framework of the dynamical triangulation approach. For the considered values of the gravitational coupling we observed two phases, the behavior of which is found to be similar to that of the crumpled and elongated phases of 3, 4 and 5 dimensional models.
متن کاملReduced models for quantum gravity
As outlined in various other lectures given at this meeting, it seems that a quantum theory of gravity can only be constructed in a non perturbative manner (compare, in particular, Ashtekar’s lectures). Because of that, no calculations, as for example cross sections, decay rates and so on, can be done for the full theory of 3+1 gravity unless one has the full solution space of the quantum const...
